Our preschool classes help your child to make friends, get socialized, and be more than ready for Kindergarten. We focus on a "whole child" philosophy and help develop your child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through PLAY. (Little do they know they are actually learning really important Kindergarten readiness skills WHILE they play - shhh! don't tell them!) We can’t wait for your child to join our preschool class!
Give your child the benefit of a personalized learning environment in our private kindergarten program. Classes are taught by a certified teacher using a standards-based curriculum that involves reading, writing, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) and so much more! Classes are small to allow more one-on-one work with the teacher to give each child what they need.
Each month, the first Friday, there will also be a bonus class! During this class we will have guest teachers that come to our school for a special lesson in their specialty. This can include: gardening, music, nutrition, gymnastics etc.
Our summer camps keep the fun going into the summer months! Our camp focuses on STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math! We will do lots of science experiments, and critical thinking activities to keep your child learning through investigation. Plus, you’ll enjoy some time to yourself each day kid free! We can’t wait for your child to join our summer camp!
We are so excited for everyone to arrive! We get right to working on fine motor skills drawing/coloring, playing with play doh, or using dot markers.
15 min. – Circle Time
We gather together at the circle rug to work on our cognitive, social, language, and gross motor skills with our Focus Wall: color, shape, number, and letter of the week, calendar, weather, and music & movement.
20 min. – Activity Time
Each week we have a science focus lesson and will have an activity, often art, that the kids will participate in. During art we work on, fine motor skills, critical thinking, creativity, using multiple mediums. Sometimes we do science inquiries and experiments to explore your child's curiosity.
35 min. – Teacher Time
Teacher works 1-on-1 with your child building cognitive skills (colors, shapes, letters, sounds, numbers, counting, math/reading for older kids) based on each child’s level. This time is also spent doing our science focused centers or activities for the week. Our life skill lesson is also presented during this time: how to brush our teeth, not talking to strangers, learning days of the week, fire drill etc.
15 min. – Snack Time
We love working on our cognitive, social and language skills as well as manners while we enjoy eating together.
20 min. – Recess
Our playground areas include play structures, slides, play house, balls, hula hoops, bikes, and more! You’ll think we’re just playing, but we’re actually working on our social, emotional, language, and gross motor skills as we run, jump, climb, and create games. We also play a lot of fun water games during camp!
30 min. – Center Time
Often known as “Free Play” or “Play Time,” our many centers include Dramatic Play, Sensory, Art, Building, Literacy, Writing, and Science. We work on social, emotional, and language skills such as using our words, taking turns, being patient, negotiating conflicts, etc. Our summer camps feature lots of fun science experiments!

Introducing private kindergarten! Students will get more hands-on interdisciplinary learning, both inside and outside of the classroom. The lower staff-to-student ratio allows for more effective observation and a strong sense of community. Your child will receive standards-based curriculum that involves reading, writing, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) and so much more! We will focus on the whole child to ensure they are creative, resilient, curious, and empathetic. Our goal is to create strong relationships and positive approaches to lifelong learning.
If we do have a spot, we'll schedule a tour. We'll also reserve your child's spot so you don't lose it before we meet. Please bring your child so we can make sure our school will be a good fit for them.
During the tour, we'll tell you all about us, and let your child play in our school. At the end, we'll ask: "Would you like your child to come to Rainbow Day's Preschool?" If so, that's when we'll have you fill out the registration form and we'll collect the registration fee of $60
